PAPER TOWELS vs. CLOTH • Schools go through many paper towels each day. What many people don't realize is that every time they use a paper towel they are unecessarily adding to the landfills. To prevent this, use cloths whenever possible so as not cause paper waste. With paper towels you through them away each time you use them, if you use rags you use them a couple times then wash them. Save the trees and environment and use reusable cloths whenever you can.

BULK vs. INDIVIDUALIZED PACKAGING • One way of reducing garbage is to buy items in bulk and place them in small reusable containers for a snack or in your lunch.

PERSONAL WATER BOTTLES • Water bottles contribute a significant amount of plastic waste to our landfills. Whenever possible use a refillable container that can be used again and again instead of throwing out a plastic bottle each time we finish a drink of water.
